Girlz Love Tech And So Do Our Kings

On August 7, Kismet of Kings hosted Girlz Love Tech at our program site for a powerful and eye-opening technology workshop. The session introduced our young men to the evolving world of artificial intelligence, offering foundational lessons on AI tools, real-world applications, and responsible usage across school, business, and everyday life.

The workshop also explored the roots of technology through the lens of Black history, highlighting the often-overlooked contributions of Black inventors, engineers, and digital pioneers. From early computing to today’s advancements in AI, our students discovered that innovation has always been part of our story—and will continue to be if we stay curious and take initiative.

The session challenged the young men to see themselves not just as consumers of technology, but as creators, thinkers, and problem-solvers. It opened conversations about careers in tech, ethical innovation, and the role of AI in entrepreneurship and creativity.
