Hospitality, Entrepreneurship, & Brotherhood at DoubleTree

On January 16th, the young men of Kismet of Kings were welcomed into the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Jersey City for an immersive overnight experience centered on exposure, growth, and brotherhood.

The evening began with a warm welcome from the DoubleTree team, who provided our Kings with a behind-the-scenes look into the world of hospitality. Through a thoughtful presentation on the history and global impact of Hilton, students gained insight into the many career pathways within the industry—from management and operations to guest services and brand leadership. What may seem like a simple hotel stay quickly became a window into a professional environment built on excellence, consistency, and service.

Following the presentation, our young entrepreneurs transitioned from learning to building.

With access to a dedicated conference room, the Kings were given the space to workshop their businesses. Students refined their ideas, discussed branding, and collaborated with peers and staff to strengthen their ventures. This moment reflected a core pillar of our program—creating real opportunities for young men to take their ideas seriously and develop them with intention.

As the night continued, the focus shifted to something just as meaningful—connection.

Through games, laughter, and late-night conversations, the young men leaned into what makes Kismet of Kings truly special: brotherhood. In a space free from distractions, they were able to build stronger bonds, share experiences, and create lasting memories together.

This experience was more than an overnight stay. It was a reminder that when young men are exposed to opportunity, given space to grow, and supported by a strong community, they rise together.
